Mr. Reed is an experienced litigator for complex commercial and real estate matters, which include landlord-tenant disputes, issues concerning the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD), rent control matters, and securing short-term and long tax abatements for clients in New Jersey.
Mr. Reed is deeply involved in the real estate industry. He served as President of the New Jersey Property Owner’s Association, counsel to the Newark Apartment Owners Association (NAOA), and is a board member for the New Jersey Apartment Association’s Political Action Committee.
Added to his professional experience and involvement with his community, Mr. Reed also served for 10 years as an instructor at Rutgers University School of Continuing Legal Education, where he lectured on trial testimony and administrative procedure. He also teaches various classes and seminars concerning landlord-tenant law and commercial leasing.
Mr. Reed has nearly 20 years of legal experience, having obtained his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 2003. Mr. Reed is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York and is admitted to jurisdictions that include the U.S. District Courts of New Jersey, Eastern District of New York, Southern District of New York, as well as U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New Jersey.
