Thomas W. Carter is a Senior Associate attorney at Ehrlich, Petriello, Gudin, Plaza & Reed, P.C. who concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation, including commercial and real estate matters. He is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New Jersey, the State of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Carter is an experienced, skilled and creative litigator who is dedicated to obtaining positive and cost-effective results for his clients.
Mr. Carter graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in 2016. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bowdoin College in 2012. Before joining the firm, Mr. Carter served as a Deputy Attorney General with the State of New Jersey’s Office of the Attorney General, Division of Law. During his tenure with Attorney General, Mr. Carter defended public entities from claims of alleged constitutional rights violations arising under 42 U.S.C. 1983 and employment discrimination by public employees. Mr. Carter served as the judicial law clerk for both the Hon. John A. Peterson, Jr., J.S.C. (Ret.) and the Hon. Francis R. Hodgson, J.S.C. during the 2016-2017 Superior Court of New Jersey court term.
